Is OIG screening really required?
Yes. All Medicare Advantage plans, all State Medicaid programs, and all Medicaid MCOs require monthly screening. The OIG has stated that providers "should have known" about exclusions — ignorance is not a defense.
What databases do you check?
We screen against the OIG LEIE (federal), SAM.gov (federal contracts), and all 37 available state Medicaid exclusion databases.
What happens if you find a match?
You'll receive an immediate email alert with the match details. Most "matches" are false positives (common names). We help you verify and document your review for compliance purposes.
How is this different from a background check?
